In an Instagram post from Sunday, the cookbook author shared some snaps from his bachelor weekend in Blackberry Mountain in Walland, Tennessee.
Among those who joined him for the fun in the woods were his Queer Eye colleague Tan France, model Gigi Hadid, and Benji Pasek — the Oscar, Grammy and Tony-winning composer and lyricist (The Greatest Showman, La La Land and Dear Evan Hansen). Search Engine host PJ Vogt and actors Reema Sampat (Orange Is the New Black), and Christian Coulso (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) were also in attendance as well.
“Stag in the bag ✅,” Porowski simply captioned his Instagram post. Harrington, a brand strategy director, wasn’t present at Porowski’s bachelor weekend.
The first pic in the Instagram carousel showed Porowski taking a selfie that also featured France, Coulso and Pasek. Other images showed Porowski and his friends soaking up their rustic surroundings and having fun, such as the group lounging in a pool.
One snap showed Hadid starting into the camera and appearing surprised with her mouth wide open.
Hadid, 28, also posted photos from Porowski’s bachelor weekend on her Instagram Stories, including ones that showed the friends doing outdoor activities in the wild and scaling a wooden lookout tower. She shared pics of a sunset and a breakfast spread, too.
In November 2022, Porowski announced via Instagram his engagement to Harrington after three years of dating. "I really hope the wedding photos are less blurry ????????," he joked in the caption after sharing a grainy selfie.
Harrington also posted the engagement news on his Instagram with a couple of pics of his own. "Officially together until we look like the last pic #engaged," he wrote captioned at the time.
"It came to a shutdown in New York — there was no toilet paper — and we decided to stay in Austin and fostered a dog," Porowski later recalled. "We went from being in a relationship and each having our own apartments and not having a dog, to living in the same place with a dog."
He later added that the pandemic experience made him appreciate life’s simple things: "I learned to get back in touch with a part of me that used to listen to music as much as I did, and my connection with nature. I know that sounds like a hippy-dippy thing to say, but it's being with my dog and my boyfriend, tossing a ball, going Upstate [New York] whenever I can; that kind of stuff. Life has gotten so big and complicated and a lot of really high ups and a lot of low lows that, that's one thing that kind of grounds me and just keeps me in check in the best next way."
"I think that food is something that's incredibly important," he said as he looked back on the meals that he and his fiancé had shared during their relationship, adding, "I've already been thinking a little bit about food that we've had on our first date and at different restaurants and just trying to incorporate some of that."
As the preparation for their wedding was in its early stages at the time, Porowski said they were taking it slow. "We're trying to remember to also enjoy the engagement and not feel like we have to lean into the machines so quickly. Because it's so much to consider and there's so many different moving parts."
