The Art Of The Frosé Cocktail In Miami

BEST FROSÉ COCKTAILS IN MIAMI
Food & Drink

It’s the super sweet summer cocktail that everyone’s talking about and it just happens to be one of the most Instagrammed libations on social media. There’s something both spectacular and relaxing about lounging poolside and sipping on an ice-cold glass of frosé, especially in Miami where the tropical breeze keeps you cool, and the water views go on for miles.

While traditional rosé is a favorite afternoon wine order for well-heeled resort aficionados around the world, Miami has a particularly strong rosé game. Interestingly, the origin of the blush wine’s frozen sister cocktail, frosé, traces back to a New York hotspot, Bar Primi in 2016. And today, the phenomenon has reached a whole new level in Miami. Here are some of our favorite spots to sip frosé, as well as a few recipes that you can try at home while you plan your next beach escape down south.

Frosé All Day at 1 Hotel South Beach

The rooftop pool deck and restaurant at 1 Hotel South Beach offers the very best that Miami has to offer when it comes to drop-dead gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean, stylish and eco-friendly lounge furniture, and a hip vibe that attracts the who’s who of in-the-know locals. Offered as a regular cocktail on WATR’s menu, “Frosé All Day” is made with rosé wine, Skyy Vodka, peach, Lillet Rouge and fresh citrus. "It’s the perfect refreshing rosé cocktail for any occasion,” says Steven Minor, Director of Beverage at 1 Hotel South Beach. “What makes it unique is the addition of Lillet Rouge—a lightly spiced, bitter aperitif wine that gives it a distinguished tartness." An upgrade for the average glass of rosé, “Frosé All Day” is the perfect frozen cocktail for a warm, sunny day in South Beach.

La Côte Frosé at Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Venture further north to the luxurious and iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach, and prepare to be intoxicated by the South of France vibe and vivacious DJ inspired bar scene at La Côte. This oceanfront Mediterranean restaurant, recently voted Miami’s Best Poolside Dining Spot by the Miami New Times, serves up an all-day menu with favorites like crab cakes, grilled octopus, lobster, and quinoa salad. Their signature frosé is made with rosé wine, aperol, and slush mix.  “It’s a very refreshing cocktail,” says John Riccardo, Director of Beverage for the iconic hotel.  “Our version adds aperol, which gives it a hint of citrus flavor, perfect for summer out by the pool.”

Miami Frosé at Malibu Farm Miami

If frosé-hopping is the theme of the day you need not wander too far. The Eden Roc Miami Beach is only a short walk away, and home base for Malibu Farm Miami, one of the best waterfront restaurants in the destination. There's nothing more quintessentially Miami than taking in direct ocean views with a frosé served in a mason jar. Made with Grey Goose vodka, Rosé All Day wine, and fresh peach, pear, and citrus, Malibu Farm's frosé pairs perfectly with Chef Helene Henderson's colorful, farm-to-beach fare, like the famous Avocado Pizza made with jalapeño, ricotta, agave, cilantro, and lime.
