Hosted by the Institute for Regional Conservation (IRC) and Miami Botanical Garden, with support from Miami Beach Rising Above, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage with coastal ecosystems and contribute to conservation efforts.

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: September 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM to Noon
  • Location: North Beach Oceanside Park
  • Activities: Guided nature walk, BioBlitz using the iNaturalist app

What to Expect:

  • Guided Nature Walk: Explore the park’s tropical hammock and beach dunes with expert guides. Learn about the vital role of coastal conservation and the rich biodiversity of these ecosystems.
  • Discover: Observe and learn about the diverse plant and animal life in the park’s natural habitats.
  • BioBlitz: Use the iNaturalist app to document and identify the flora and fauna encountered during the walk.

Preparation and What to Bring:

  • Wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Bring sun protection, a reusable water bottle, snacks, a hat, and sunscreen.
