Miami Children’s Museum is blooming with the beauty of Ikebana, offering a mesmerizing voyage into Japanese culture.
Throughout May, as part of the vibrant celebrations for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the museum invites visitors to immerse themselves in the art of Ikebana. This traditional Japanese flower arrangement technique will be showcased in hands-on sessions scheduled from Tuesday to Sunday.
Led by expert instructors in the Health and Wellness Classroom, participants of all ages will have the opportunity to explore the intricate techniques of Ikebana. Using air-dry clay and an array of artificial flowers, guests will unleash their creativity while learning about the rich heritage of Japan.
From May 1st to May 31st, sessions will run twice daily, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM and from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Each session promises to be an educational and entertaining experience, providing insight into the beauty and tranquility of Ikebana.
