Descending into the lowest levels of the ocean, going on a rocket trip to Mars, or sliding down a DNA double helix — Everything is possible at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science!

From atoms to planets, Miami’s only aquarium, planetarium and science museum features hands-on interactive experiences and cutting-edge technology that will have you exploring the power of science like never before.

Featuring three levels of unique habitats and displays, Frost Science’s aquarium (quite literally) offers a window into the beautiful watery worlds of South Florida. Start at the top Royal Caribbean Vista level exploring habitats such as the Gulf Stream and Mangrove Forests, and then make your way to the Deep and Dive lower levels for a unique glimpse into life underwater and the science behind it.

If an adventure through space is what you seek, check out the museum’s 250-seat planetarium, where you’ll find yourself hurtling through space on dazzling visual odysseys narrated by the likes of Tilda Swinton, Lupita Nyong’o and Liam Neeson.

Discover the astounding ways in which your mind and body work together to keep you healthy at MeLaβ. A very hands-on experience, MeLaβ will allow you to step into the shoes of a health scientist and conduct experiments to see how your body responds to calorie intake, stress responses, viruses and more.

Explore how science pushes the boundaries of possibility at the Power of Science exhibit. Here you’ll learn about groundbreaking research and discovery by scientists, including those from the University of Miami, on subjects such as the oceans, our bodies, the environment and the universe.

And if you ever wondered what the fascinating science behind birds’ ability to fly is, don’t forget to check out Frost Science’s Feathers to the Stars exhibit. This awesome interactive experience will teach you everything you need to know about the history of flight, all the way from feathered dinosaurs to the rocket ships of the future.

But the fun doesn’t end with the exhibits, at Frost Science you’ll also find plenty more events including unique science camps, volunteer opportunities and fun chemistry classes for young scientists who wish to quench their thirst for scientific knowledge. This October, Frost Science is even hosting its 5th Annual Spooky Science Monster Mash with a terrifyingly fun scientific spin on Halloween!

Of course, your health and safety and that of the staff and animals come first at Frost Science, so the museum has implemented a series of health measures to ensure everything goes swimmingly. In addition, masks are required for all guests 2 or older while indoors, regardless of their vaccination status.

The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets include access to all museum attractions and are $29.95 per adult and $21.95 for children 3 to 11. Children 2 or under and members go in for free.

Admission will be limited to ensure proper social distancing, so museum officials highly recommend booking your tickets online ahead of time. Members must also reserve their tickets online and present their membership card or photo ID to enter the museum.
