Duhamel, 50, and his model wife Audra Mari, 29, revealed Monday that they are expecting their first child together in a joint Instagram post captioned "Baby Duhamel coming soon ????" alongside a photo of the couple’s baby scan.
Commenting underneath, Fergie, 48, made sure to send her congratulations, writing “I am truly happy for you guys???????? Axl can’t wait to be a big brother."
The singer was married to Duhamel from 2009 to 2019 and shares son Axl, 10, with the actor. The couple jointly announced their split in a September 2017 statement, and Fergie later filed for divorce in May 2019.
“To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public.”
“We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family,” they added.
"He's not shy about it, but he's felt this way since Axl was very young," the source added. "He loves being a father."
"Josh spends a lot of time with his son," the source said at the time, adding that he is "very protective of Axl" and it "took a while before Audra met him."
