Deborra-lee had been spotted without her wedding ring days prior to the announcement, according to photos posted by Entertainment Tonight. The actress, 67, was seen getting into a car in N.Y.C. on Tuesday.
The two made several appearances together earlier this year including at Wimbledon in July and the Met Gala on May 1.
On their 27th wedding anniversary in April, the Greatest Showman star posted a loving Instagram tribute to Deborra-lee, writing in part, "I love you so much. Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage and loyalty is an incredible gift to me."
The Jackmans, who share two kids — Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18 — originally met on the set of the Australian TV series Corelli in 1995, before tying the knot a year later on April 11, 1996.
“One of the great pieces of fortune in my career, it started late, but that Deb and I were already set together, a team, madly in love, like literally before it all happened,” he said. “We can kind of see all the ups and downs for what they are. Our priority is our family, and we’re there for each other no matter what.”
He added, “Underneath the surface where it’s real, and where it’s still and where it’s deep, that is the love I have with Deb.”
