“It’s my biggest fear in life to get booed, so this welcome is, like, so, so good!” Kardashian, 43, said with a laugh. Host Jimmy Fallon quickly reassured her, saying, "Never! They love you. Come on! We’re New York City, we love ya."
Kardashian’s lighthearted comment comes just three months after she experienced the sting of audience disapproval at The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, a Netflix special that aired live on May 5. During her appearance at the roast, Kardashian was initially met with cheers, but the crowd quickly turned to boos as she began her set.
The moment became so uncomfortable that Netflix later edited out some of the audience's jeers and lowered the volume of the crowd in the version now available to stream. Despite the reaction, Kardashian kept her composure and attempted to continue with her jokes, including one about Brady's height, which was drowned out by the heckling.
Acknowledging the boos, Kardashian laughed awkwardly and attempted to move forward with her set. She even addressed the dating rumors that had circulated about her and the retired NFL quarterback, joking, "I wasn’t going to come tonight, but since I'm not here as Tom's date, there's still a good chance I might."
She wrapped up her three-minute roast with a playful jab at Brady, saying, "I’m just here tonight to support you and celebrate you. I’ll give you the same advice I give all of my exes: good luck knowing the best is behind you."
