On Tuesday's episode of The View, the actor and Just Because author was shown his brand-new Madame Tussauds wax figure for the first time, live onstage in front of the studio audience.

After the big reveal of the figure — which depicted McConaughey, 53, in a dapper suit — the Oscar winner went up to pose next to it, recreating the same smoldering gaze into the camera to the delight of Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and the rest of the show's co-hosts and audience.

"I feel like AI is alive and well," McConaughey said after doing a lap around the figure, placing his hands on his hips and leaning back to take in the uncanny resemblance.

"I don't remember when, but I did wear this suit, and I remember those shoes!" he marveled, also noting his figure was wearing a wedding band similar to his, engraved with "6.22" and all.

Goldberg, 67, jokingly asked "if the figure is as good at giving foot rubs" as McConaughey, who also hilariously gave Behar, 80, a foot massage during the episode, recreating a viral moment from 2006.

"He does this — he does the foot rub from here," McConaughey joked, wiggling his hands out in front of the figure while standing behind it.

"That is wild ... it feels like it's alive," the actor added of the wax figure's realistic look.

McConaughey's stop by The View occurred as his debut children's book, Just Because, hit shelves on Tuesday.

"It came to me at 2:30 a.m. as a ditty in a dream," he told PEOPLE earlier this month about his idea for the book. "It was a song in my mind, and I got up and wrote it down."

A spirited collection of life lessons and conundrums untangled in rhythmic couplets, the picture book sparked "a lot of good conversations" with his kids Levi, 15, Vida, 13, and Livingston, 10, plus wife Camila Alves McConaughey and even his ever-discerning mother Kay, he said.

Ultimately, the actor said he hopes Just Because is a relatable conversation starter for families and "speaks to the kid in all of us."

Just Because is available for purchase now on amazon.com.
