Selena Gomez Ditches Her Glam MTV VMAs Dress for a Comfy Post-Show Look — See Her Outfit

After her dazzling turnout at the award show on Tuesday, the Only Murders in the Building star, 31, ditched her gown and heels to slip into something more relaxed.

Gomez was photographed later in the night on a New York City street wearing a sporty oversize tracksuit featuring shiny gray pants and a gray and white jacket. She paired the outfit with chunky black boots.

Though her late-night look was super chill and casual, the actress was still wearing her glam hair and makeup from the event, along with her glittery flower-shaped earrings, as she waved to fans.

It was her second style switch-up of the evening — she slipped into a purple satin strapless corseted minidress and pointy-toe heels to attend a star-studded VMAs afterparty, hosted by Diddy. She gave fans a glimpse of the look via a mirror selfie on her Instagram Story.

On a VMAs red carpet — or, in this case, pink carpet — filled with knockout looks, Gomez had all eyes on her as she arrived in her sensational dress.

The former Disney Channel star stole the spotlight in her spicy red Oscar de la Renta look, which featured a barely there beaded flower design that included cascading "vines" to form the skirt. She wore simple red heels to match.

It was a big night for Gomez — and she had one of her biggest cheerleaders in the house for it. As she scooped up a Moon Person trophy for the best afrobeats award for her and Rema's song "Calm Down," her BFF Taylor Swift was captured on camera dancing and waving her hands in the air in celebration of Gomez's win.

After the VMAs, Gomez shared a cute moment between her and Swift, 33, who took home the prized video of the year award for "Anti-Hero." Alongside an Instagram Story photo of the pair embracing and laughing together, Gomez poked fun at herself, writing, "She looks stunning I look constipated. Typical."

While Gomez's style has been hitting new heights lately, she recently suffered an unfortunate fashion mishap. Last month, she revealed what led to her recently breaking her hand and having to undergo surgery, explaining that it's all down to a long dress she was wearing at the time.

"I wish I had, like, a really cool story that I saved someone’s life or something," she said while appearing on the Ellen K Morning Show. "I was in a long dress — it was a summer dress — and I was walking from my car to my house and tripped."
