Scottish designer Jade Robertson, co-founder of the online fashion brand Little Lies, found herself "completely gobsmacked" when global music icon Taylor Swift donned her green velvet Sweet Jane Olive mini dress along with $2,450 Jimmy Choo x Jean Paul Gaultier boots. Swift, 34, had not only chosen the dress but had personally ordered and paid for it under a discreet alias, catching Robertson by surprise.

In an interview with U.K. newspaper The Times, Robertson expressed her astonishment, saying, "[I was] just completely gobsmacked at first. We had no idea she even had the dress. It turns out she’d actually placed the order for it herself. She’d actually ordered it and paid for it."

Little Lies, based in Perth, Scotland, was launched in 2015 by Jade and her husband Stuart. The unexpected spotlight on the brand has caused a stir, with the Sweet Jane Olive Mini Dress selling out after Swift's public appearance in it.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Robertson shared the excitement within the office, stating, "The office was bonkers, everybody was super happy. We didn't really know what it was gonna do, what the effect would be, we were mostly just really pleased to see something by our music-inspired brand on such a music icon."

The dress, part of the brand's music-inspired collection, was worn by Swift during a dinner outing with friend Blake Lively at Lucali Pizza restaurant in Brooklyn. The brand's Instagram post expressed their joy, saying, "Big moment for Little Lies waking up to see Taylor Swift has been photographed wearing our Sweet Jane Olive Mini Dress! Major ‘pinch me’ moment - she looks absolutely unreal, and we LOVE how she’s styled it!"

Despite the surge in demand, Robertson shared that the cost of the dress would remain the same, emphasizing her admiration for Swift's style, stating, "I do love her music, but what I really love is that she’s worn this in a very Stevie Nicks way." Robertson concluded by expressing deep gratitude, saying, "She is literally the most famous person in the world. For such a small independent brand, it's so incredible of her to not only shop and support but to actually then wear it. She knows what effect this is going to have better than anybody. So very, very grateful for it."
