Embark on an unparalleled theatrical journey at the Rubell Museum, where Miami New Drama unveils The Museum Plays, a collaborative venture with the museum. This avant-garde production comprises six specially commissioned short plays, each inspired by artworks within the museum's esteemed collection. Playwrights Hannah Benitez, Harley Elias, Rogelio Martinez, Carmen Pelaez, Marco Ramirez, and Aurin Squire have crafted narratives influenced by the works of Alfonso Gonzalez Jr., Jenna Gribbon, Glenn Ligon, Kaari Upson, and Kehinde Wiley, among others.
Under the visionary direction of Michel Hausmann, The Museum Plays blends the realms of visual art and dramatic performance, offering an enriching experience on select evenings until March 10.
