On Sunday, August 4, Zac Efron, 36, took to Instagram Stories to update fans on his recovery. "Happy and healthy," he wrote, sharing a photo of himself lifting weights while on an exercise ball. "Thanks for the well wishes," he added.

The incident occurred at a villa in Ibiza on Friday, August 2, where Efron experienced a minor issue while swimming in the pool. His representative confirmed that he was taken to the hospital as a precaution and was released the following morning. "He is fine," the rep assured on Saturday, August 3.

Earlier in the week, Efron was seen onstage with DJ Martin Garrix during a performance at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club, much to the delight of fans. The High School Musical star danced alongside Garrix, with the moment captured in a viral TikTok video.

Efron has had a busy year, starring in films like The Iron Claw, Ricky Stanicky, and the rom-com A Family Affair alongside Nicole Kidman and Joey King. He is set to appear in a remake of the 1987 film Three Men and a Baby and the thriller Famous, both currently in preproduction.
