Mythic Creatures: Dragons, Unicorns & Mermaids explores the origins—both natural and cultural—of some of the most iconic mythical beings from across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and further afield. This fascinating display features full-scale models of mythical entities, including a kraken with tentacles stretching 12 feet long that seem to emerge from the exhibition floor as though breaking through ocean waves. Additionally, the exhibition presents a variety of paintings and textiles, as well as artifacts from across the globe, shedding light on the intriguing ways in which different cultures have been influenced by nature to create and celebrate these mysterious and awe-inspiring beings.
