The on-set scene captured on April 15 showed Chalamet with a harmonica attached to his shirt, serenading the gathered crowd with his guitar, embodying Dylan during his rise to stardom at 19. Chalamet’s portrayal will trace Dylan’s journey through the folk music scene and his subsequent record deal with Columbia Records.

Chalamet’s co-star Barbaro was also fully in character, playing the guitar in a vibrant blue and purple patterned dress, her hair styled in a classic side parting reminiscent of the 1960s. The set atmosphere was buzzing, reflecting the iconic music era that the film seeks to recreate.

Adding to the star-studded cast, Elle Fanning appears as Dylan’s love interest Sylvie Russo, with other notable actors including Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash. Edward Norton is set to portray folk singer Pete Seeger, stepping in for Benedict Cumberbatch due to scheduling conflicts.

The film, directed by James Mangold, promises an authentic portrayal with Chalamet reportedly singing Dylan’s tracks himself, a decision confirmed by Mangold earlier this month. Vocal coach Eric Vetro, who prepared Chalamet for the role, praised his quick adaptability and natural musical talent, likening his transformation to Renée Zellweger’s performance in "Judy."

With such a transformative role, "A Complete Unknown" is set to offer a riveting look into Bob Dylan’s formative years and the personal relationships that shaped his early career. Fans of Dylan and Chalamet alike are eagerly awaiting what promises to be a compelling cinematic tribute to one of music’s greatest icons.
